Welcome to Hallador: A Sketchbook Journal through the city of Dragons and Humans (The Dragon Story)

Many ages ago, Humans and Dragons joined together to build the greatest city ever known. The strength and industry of dragons with the creative ingenuity of humans led to rapid advancement in their ability to build a city unparalleled by any other civilization. They called their city and kingdom Hallador. As dragons and humans continued to evolve, their combined intellect and innovation grew rapidly. Their city became known throughout the land as the center for thought, education and inventions. Both dragons and humans would travel from far across the lands to receive higher education from the newly formed Lund Academy. But only a small number had the means and educational experience to be accepted into such a prestigious learning academy. In an effort to help foster young academics, the academy started a scholarship program to give talented youth an opportunity to take a summer semester at the Lund Academy. Theo is a talented artist, but he lives on a remote island in the northern ocean. Without access to formal education, his destiny may rest in the family fishing business. His only hope to achieve his dream as an artist is to be accepted into one of the Youth Talent Scholarship programs at the Lund Academy. After years of hard work and correspondence, Theo was accepted! “Welcome to Hallador” is Theo’s sketchbook from his journey into the great city where he sketches and draws the things he sees, the people he meets, and the experiences he has while exploring the city of Hallador.
